Management of portal messages

We have been pleased to field your concerns and offer our advice through portal email messages for years now.  As this service has gained traction, and people are more used to remote medicine, the volume of portal messages has been through the roof.  We want to answer all of your emails.  But we simply can’t keep up.  Each of us is answering messages throughout the work day, and late into the night every work day.  Our clinicians are spending much more time every day answering portal messages and phone messages than we are spending with patients.  This is not sustainable.  We will do our best to answer straightforward portal email messages.  But we will be asking more of you to come in to discuss your concerns so that we can dedicate that time to you.  Thank you.
